The 61-year-old Simpson was moved Friday to Lovelock Correctional Center, about 90 miles northeast of Reno, said state prisons spokeswoman Suzanne Lovelock is one of the newest and smallest prisons in the Nevada state prison system. It opened in 1995 and houses just under 1,500 inmates in two-bed cells.
Simpson co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart remains at High Desert pending a decision where he'll serve his 7 1/2 to 27 year term. Both men were found guilty on Oct. 3 of felony kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges stemming a gunpoint confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas.

There is also a trusty dormitory outside the main compound to house minimum custody offenders who work in the Regional Warehouse and the institutional maintenance shops.
